- Ages: 11+ years with adult
- Description:
Middle and high school students are invited to join us on Schuylkill Explorers Day as we conduct water quality testing and macroinvertebrate sampling to learn more about the health of the Schuylkill River and what we can do to protect it. Registration is limited to 15 participants (not including guardians) and you can register here. This is not a drop off event, guardians are expected to stay with their children.
- What to Bring:
- Pre-filled water bottle/s with at least 32oz of water.
- Sunscreen
- Insect repellant
- Hat
- Water shoes or old sneakers that can get wet (backless sandals and Crocs are not permitted)
- Wear clothes that you are comfortable getting WET
- Itinerary:
- 1:30pm: Introduction
- 1:45pm: Water quality testing
- 2:30pm: Macroinvertebrate sampling
